Harbors Cafe Haverstraw NY

Good evening everybody! How are you today?
I think this blog is long overdue. Sometimes you forget how good something is until you don't have it anymore and after a week in Florida visiting some family, I started to have that feeling.
How can I ever live in another place that doesn’t have a café in my house? When I eventually buy a home in a residential area, its not going to have a 24 hour diner attached to it. Some people say that they love the convenience of New York City. I say, I love the convenience that the Harbors Cafe gives me and its going to be hard to say goodbye.
Afterall, waking up to fresh double french roast coffee, soft, fresh Nyack Bagel's (Maureen gets them every morning and they are hands down the best bagel place in Rockland & willing to wager on that) and pastries too, is hard to replace.
How about sitting at the pool during the summer and getting the Three Cheese Leeward Panini and a Chipwich? Speaking of Chipwiches, how can I substitute having a freezer filled with a variety of ice cream in my house?
Did somebody say I don't feel like cooking tonight? Lets go...in the elevator...down to the Clubhouse...into the Café...Chicken Parmigiana dinner with angel hair pasta, yes please!
Time to go to sleep after a late night gym session...oh wait Maureen is open till 11 tonight, time to get an oversized double chocolate chip cookie.
I just want to thank Maureen and Lewis, the owners, chefs and mayor's of the Harbors! You guys do an unbelievable job and work harder than anybody.
If you have never been to the Harbors Café, its time to get in your car and go. If you are a cyclist and bike from NYC up route 9W through Piermont, Nyack and Haverstraw, please stop by the café and get some coffee, cookie or energy bar. The café has everything you can imagine, so come and check it out then venture through the community and go through the downtown Village of Haverstraw.
